To witness the protest Makes one think A critical appraisal Patriotism Forced upon all Is only a distraction All countries are led by the wealthy There are no goals that we will share Now burn the flag go speak your mind Torch them up all around the world It leads to insurrection Oligarchy is kakistocracy Oligarchy will doom the world (Solo - Andy) The war machine exists only for profit Choose your life so we can coexist Noncompliance with such foolish leaders Take from the rich give to the poor Off with their heads because they won’t be missed
2.
Sentenced to death for taking another human’s life, imaginary, Attorneys spit the fallacies to fool judging society, reality. Come gather round see it all on TV, someone else’s grief made just for me The taking of a life, shouldn’t be taken for granted, “I bet he goes free on a technicality” Some judges are selected only by an appointee, Come accommodate me and I will get you in that door for free It never seems to fail and the pure get left behind They grin behind their mask because they know that you are blind (Solo – Bill) Criminal laws don’t seem to prosecute This mistake should not be tolerated People manipulate a system based on corruption
3.
You can live your life Without resistance You can live your life With indifference But I do not choose To have lived life Like a whisper Lost in the wind To be a shadow During a sunny day Cast against a black wall Time is too precious To let pass by Because our existence Is shorter than a sigh Having your whole life Controlled by some alibi And before you know it It will be your turn to die Do you want to reflect, Reflect when you get older On a life with no achievement, No achievement that you've accomplished But you do have a choice, A choice that you can make now Everyone has an opportunity, An opportunity to contribute To the benefit of, The benefit of a better world...
4.
Scar 06:06
(Life's Inanity Substitute Altered) Suffering and everybody is lying to me, I don’t remember one minute from the next, But what I say seems so real to me. Now I've learned the truth about it, But no explanations can be found, Just have to be content with what's left for me, What good is this life if it's incomplete. How can this be, my reality, Relearn motions, taken from me. (LMT 32591) To live with a grief that isn't clear, To relive memories that aren't there, Looking for her face in another place, Expect to find that she'll be there. Silence emotions, no emotions, Some hate while others care, But the pain is always there, It’s a scar that will never fade. (Solo – Brett)
5.
Morality, define your purity Is your conscience safe from guilt Persistency, to accept divinity Relinquish rational thoughts blindly Forcibly, delivered subconsciously Believe and never question your faith Insecurity, who are you to be The pressure resides within your mind Insecure, so they force their views on you Easier to live with oneself, When others share your beliefs It’s a total lack of confidence, It must be the only explanation Hostility, to anyone who's free From the self-induced burden of guilt (solos – Andy) Hypocrisy, inconsistency When those who claim no judgement Judge you the most Credibility, are they trustworthy When those who speak of freedom, oppress Such tenacity, sacred bigotry How can they teach love by teaching hate...
6.
Humanity, acting all on impulse Targeting the scapegoats We have not progressed Your enemy not made by me On the other side of the world These are the strangers You order me to kill Telling someone else to fight the war that you created Spilling someone else’s blood You expect these people to respect you In return they’re treated like shit Never knowing if what they’re doing is right Either way killing is wrong (solo - Andy) Hypocrisy force your views onto others When others do this its grounds to go to war Maybe killing each other is the cure for this disease Cleanse this world of human filth (solo - Brett)
7.
Hidden Fear 09:08
Wretched thoughts I behold, cravings I seek are untold, Painfully I pave this road, until my feelings I can unfold Pain and misery, the suffering I go through, Thoughts of hate, when will I carry them through? Controlling feelings is a must, for blood and death are what I lust The meaning of love I cannot trust, out of this shell I must bust (solo – Brett) There’s no one to help me now, no way for salvation Jesus does not exist for me, religion is just a lie Keep your thoughts of pity to yourself, I care not what you say The disgust and confusion you show are your inner doubts Follow your tradition in your blindness I will not listen, it’s all a lie to me There’s no one to save my soul, nor can I be saved from down below My instincts have been forced down a hole The confusion inside will take its toll Wicked and unholy, the thoughts you claim are evil Thoughts we share the ones you fail to hide I have my reasons for feeling this way not for the ones that you say And for your blind obedience we will pay The earth will soon fade away (solo – Bill)
