Sorrow New York
NY Death / doom metal band from the early 90s.
In the late 80s early 90s, we released
2 demos and a 7" on Relapse under the name Apparition. In 91 we released the "Forgotten Sunrise" on Roadrunner Records. Followed by our first full length, "Hatred and Disgust" in 1992, also on Roadrunner Records.
Fast forward 30 years, and our new album "Death of Sorrow" will be out Aug 8 on Xtreem Music.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.

I just found these guys and after celebrating Fearsick I immediately came here and had to buy this as well. It might eben be better than Fearsick but who cares. Both are phenomenally good. Old schoolish perfection with powerful modern production. Every song is a fucking killer.
